One Day in Copenhagen

06 August, 2015 to 07 August, 2015

The whole travel-thing really got me infected. So I am very open to join my friends on crazy ideas like the one my very good friend from work had. She was staying in Copenhagen for one week on her holiday and since I felt in love with Copenhagen and I didn't go to Tivoli the first time I was there (because I was was alone and you really can't go alone to a amusement park), we had the great idea that I would visit her. Unfortunately I had to work and only one free day that week. But where's a will, there's a way. Why not going for one day ? Leaving for Copenhagen Thursday and coming back Friday ?
Said and done!

Day 1 (the only day)

I left my house Thursday very early in the morning to catch my flight. The plan for this day was to do things I couldn't or didn't want to do alone the first time I was there and to show my friend all the things I've learned. And I really wanted to see my lovely friend Camilla again (which I met the first time).
I landed safely and made my way to my friends Airb'n'b place which was super lovely.
I took a shower and we were off for brunch at my favorite coffee place "Norden Cafe".
We had a big lovely brunch, a good conversation and some very nice looking waiters around us.
After brunch we made our way to Nyhavn where we hung out a bit. Shopping and just walking around the city was next. We had the most beautiful weather and it was so warm we we walking around in short pants. I enjoyed the city very very much.
Tivoli was next in line. I was very excited to see the park and have some candy floss.
The Park was amazing. Unfortunately there were so many people that I would have taken hours to get on a track. So we've decided just to walk around the park, take a look at everything and eat our stuff.
Camilla texted me just right when we were done and decided to leave. We meet her just a view minutes away in the garden of the Rosenborg Slot. Camilla brought some wine, chips and strawberries. I was so happy to see her again and we had a great time.
For the dinner we had planned to go to Mash and since I went with Camilla the first time we invited her to join us. So she did.
My friend Lilli and I went home to get ready for the dinner and the night and met Camilla at the restaurant.
After dinner we had a delicious drink at the restaurant and decided to take this to an other place where some more friends were having a good time. We stayed with them until a bit before midnight. we wanted to go to the meatpacking district to go and check out some bars. It was awesome and we hat so much fun. I really can't remember the names of the bars we were in but I can give you the advice to go the the district! You'll have fun.
I left the next day quite early in the morning to have one last brunch at the norden cafe with Lilli. She took me to the metro station afterwords and I took my flight.

THE RÉSUMÉ
I had so much fun during this day and it felt like two or three days. It was a super crazy idea but I would do it again anytime. The funny thing is, people always say that they have no time to travel and no money but that's not true! This trip was cheap as hell and not even the flight was expensive. If you book last minute you can get really really cheap flights and even if you're just going for one day - it is so worth it!
My advice - don't think ! Just do it!

14 July, 2015 to 16 July, 2015

DAY 3
I started my last day just how I started my fist. Espresso House.
It was a wonderful day and I had one stop to make on my list. Petite France is a tiny little bistro around the corner in Kungsholmen.
After spending an Hour sitting, eating and enjoying I walked along the Island to the City Hall and from there back to the Yacht.
Well it was time for me to pack my stuff and make my way to the airport. I was more sad about leaving than I thought I would be. Stockholm was really kind to me and the weather couldn't have been better.
THE HOTEL
The yacht was amazing! I have never done something like this before and it was awesome. Well I have to be true an tell you that there were moments where I seriously thought that I had to puke bust most of the time I was more than fine. The cabin was clean and quite huge. And everyone was very nice and courteous.

THE RÉSUMÉ
Stockholm had more in store than I thought. It's a very nice and sweet city wich cares a lot about its history and queen. The architecture is amazing and the metro goes down so far I was quite shocked sometimes. The weather was perfect and if it's like this every summer I have to go there definitely again.

Stockholm

14 July, 2015 to 16 July, 2015

DAY 2
I woke up to the most perfect weather. From the yacht I had the most amazing view to the Stockholm City Hall.
I got ready for the day and made my way to Norrmalm for shopping. Down here you see the inside of the NK shopping-center
After a view hours of shopping I took the metro to Östermalm to see the almost famous food market. I love food so this was heaven for me!
A little storm was coming so I went back to the yacht to change for dinner and took again the metro to Vasastan. I've read about this hip Burger Place "Flippin' Burgers" and as you all know I love Burger and I haven't been on a trip without eating one.
The Burger was amazing and it really was a nice place. Everyone was so friendly and there really were some cool people around.
Before I got back to my Cabin I took a drink at the Lokal Bar.
And this is how my second day in Stockholm ended.

Stockholm

14 July, 2015 to 16 July, 2015

My destination for July was Stockholm which I was very excited about. One of my best friends is half Swedish and she told me a lot about Stockholm and its beauty. Also should this be kind of a milestone because i have never been further north than Stockholm on this planet.

DAY 1
The direct flights were to expensive so I had to take a connected flight which took me to Berlin first.
After arriving in Stockholm I bought tickets for the metro and had breakfast/lunch at the Espresso House. I've been to Sweden before and way back I fell in love with the Espresso House. It's like Starbucks - but better !
My Hotel was just a view minutes away from the cental station.
For Stockholm I had something special planned, something I've never done before. The hotel was not a normal hotel - I've booked a cabin on the Mälardrottningen
After exploring the yacht and setting my stuff I made my way through Gamla Stan - the island I was living on.
After exploring Gamla Stan I took the tram down to Södermalm. A friend gave me the advice for a super good restaurant called "Häktet". And damn he was right ! I had one of my best dinner ever.
And with this amazing dinner my first day in Stockholm ended. The second best thing was the sky this evening which I could watch fron the yacht-deck.
