LAST DAY

The last day started early and ended fast. Two of your lovely squad left at three in the morning. The rest of us cleaned the Airbnb and left around lunchtime. We were all really sad - we hd such a great time together and we really bonded during the days. But this won't be the last time

THE AIRBNB
the room was pretty small for five girls but it was ok. We had our flat right next to the acropolis so this was pretty cool and there was a metro station a 7 minutes walk away.

THE RÉSUMÉ
Greece had some special surprises for us so here are some things you mentally need to prepare yourself to:
- if you are unlucky as we were you have a flat where you need to heat up the water 30 minutes before showering.
- you are not allowed to flush the toilet-paper anywhere in Greece (except from fancy hotels i think) which is quite disgusting and really weird!
- you can't drink the water from the tap and even the clear water they are giving you in the restaurant smells really bad sometimes.
but all in all we had a great time. Greece is really beautiful and worth the trip. I'm not sure when I will be back there but the next time I will definitely check out one of the island around.

DAY 4

We were quite tired after the concert so we slept in the day. It was the last day we all had together so we decided to go up to the Acropolis in the evening to get the sunset from up there. The view hours to sunset we used to go and see the Zeus Temple - or well that what is left from it - and to eat.
We took a taxi from Zeus Temple to go home, pack our stuff and get ready for the Acropolis. Some of the girls where leaving 3am for their plane so everything had to be ready.
As the sun started to go down we made our way up to the Acropolis - quite a way...
As we arrived the top of the hill we had to hear that the acropolis was already closed for visitors and that it was not possible to be up there by sunset. We were quite upset - my tip for you - inform yourself about the opening times! Well luckily there is quite a big rock a bit further down where you can climb on (or take the stares). The climbe is hard but the view's great!
After the sun was down we climbed down from the rock and made our way to the Hard Rock Cafe near by to have dinner. Around the Cafe where a lot restaurants and small sweet shops. Right around the corner we found a frozen yogurt shop and an ice cream place where you can buy ice-donouts. very cool stuff. On our way to the metro station Monastiraki we walked trough the Flea Market.
And so the last day together ended.

28 September, 2015 to 02 October, 2015

DAY 2

We woke up to a quite windy but very sunny and beautiful weather. Now, all five of us together we tried to plan our few days. Plan for today:
- find a close place for breakfast
- walk to the metro station
- take the metro to the Olympic Stadium / check out the Olympic Stadium
- take the metro to The Mall and shop like there's no tomorrow
- home for dinner

Said, done!
The closest place for breakfast was a 7 minutes walk away. It was already lunchtime and the restaurant wasn't serving breakfast anymore so we had amazing salads and club sandwiches. Restaurant: Lontos Cafe-Bar with a beautiful view to the acropolis.
Thanks to google maps we found a very easy way to the metro station Monastiraki where we bought a 24hours ticket and afterwords took the metro to the Olympic Stadium. The Stadium was absolutely breath taking ! Even this was only used once it was in a good condition. Police drove by a view times and people where walking around with dogs, kids with their skateboards, bikers and rollerblader.
We walked for an hour around the whole stadium until we've seen everything.. back at the metro station we couldn't wait to get to the mall to eat something and shop!

We where shopping all afternoon on 4 floors. By the time we got out of the mall it was dark and ice cold. We couldn't wait to come home, change an eat something.
We went to the Soho Bar and without wanting to harm someone - the food was cold, the drinks had so much alcohol in them we just couldn't drink is, the waitress unorganized and we payed a lot more that we had to because the bill was not right and none understood what we where saying. All in all not very recommendable.
And so our day had quite a bad ending.

Athens

28 September, 2015 to 02 October, 2015

Going to Athens was very exciting for me. I basically grew up with all the Sagas and Stories of the old greek History. So I was very curious ! I didn't really plan the trip cause I was very busy with working so we had to improvise. By we I mean my sister, which I was traveling with and her friends who I was about to meet. Two girls from Finnland and one from Norway.

DAY 1
As always I had to get up very early to catch the flight. Thank good my sister was with me! The flight took about 2,5 hours and for once there weren't any turbulences.
We arrived in Athens to beautiful weather and very confusing letters. We totally forgot that the greeks have an other alphabet and to read cyrillic was impossible! So it took a loooong while until we got how to get to our airbnb flat and even longer to get there by metro. But the good thing is, once you've got it, you've got it. So after this first hurdle we had no problems finding our way. The other girls would arrive later so we had time to meet the guy fro our flat and text the girls how to get there. While waiting we walked back to the Station Kerameikos where a lot of restaurant are. My sister and I had a delicious dinner at the Cartone where we were waiting for the other girls.
The other girls came just a view hours later. While they where having a late dinner my sister and I enjoyed the super fabulous Oreo-cake! I was super happy to meet the girls. The awesome ladies have been friends with my sister for quite a while now. They all met through 30 seconds to mars - but later more. After dinner we went home to have some quality time together and sleep after.
The lovely girl from Norway was delayed but my sister and the others took cake of

Merci Cannes, Nice, St. Tropez, Monaco

16 August, 2015 to 22 August, 2015

DAY 5&last Day - Monaco
We got up very very early that morning to drive my sister to the airport in Nice. It was very sad that she had to leave. My mom ad I brought her to the check-in point.
After a little breakfast at the airport with my mom we took of to Monaco. It was quite a drive and the more we got close to Monaco the more the streets got smaller and curvier and quite dangerous. Thank god my mom has a small car!
Monaco was just amazing. Very very small, everything is very close together but still so cute. A lot of small boats and some very very big yachts. All in all very beautiful.

I was walking the whole day with my mom. We were yacht spotting and walking up to the Castle trough the Garden.

Monaco is absolutely worth the trip. You need to walk a lot and it's going up and down all the time so take good shoes with you. But it is absolutely amazing.
Late in the afternoon we took back home to Cannes to have dinner at the place we were walking by everyday on our way home. One of the best restaurants in Cannes: La Pizza Cresci.

The next morning we left.

THE HOTEL

I'm still so happy with Airbnbs. I've never been disappointed and also this time it was just wonderful to feel at home in a place where I have never been before. Just love it!
The price was a bit high but thats what you have to pay if you want to wake up to a sea-view.

THE RÉSUMÉ
Cannes, Nice, St.Tropez and Monaco is so worth the trip if you haven't been before. At least for a week of relaxing and just enjoying yourself with drinks and food and good looking people. Those were really great days.

16 August, 2015 to 22 August, 2015

DAY 4 - St. Tropez
Day number four was the last day together. My sister would leave the next day for LA so we had to decide if we wanted to go to St. Tropez or Monaco for our last trip together.
We let my sister decide and she really wanted to go to St. Tropez.
We hung out a the beach in the morning and around lunchtime we made our way to St. Raphael. We bought some food and had lunch at a cute little cafe right next to the pier. around four in the afternoon we got on the boat wich brought us over to St. Tropez.
St. Tropez was muuuuch smaler than I thought! But super duper nice. I fell in love the first second I saw it. We've benn walking around the pier/beach and went up to the Citadelle de Saint Tropez. Unfortunately the Museum was closed because of an event. But the view was great.
On our way back to the boat we were walking by so many street artists presenting their pictures. Breathtaking pictures - really incredible.
In St. Raphael we took back our car and went home. Pasta dinner at home was the perfect ending of the day.

DAY 3 - Nice
My sister spent one week visiting her friend in Nice years ago so she really wanted to go back and see the place again. So on the third day we got up early had a delicious home cooked breakfast and took the short drive to Nice for a day at the beach and for some shopping. Actually nothing special happened that day. We were just walking around and enjoying the sun! The weather was so good to us. Nice is much bigger than Cannes. In Nice they don't have sand at the beach which is quite special but to be honest I like stones much more.
My sister showed us some places she remembered from last time. There was a flea market in a quite secret place wehere we hung out almost two hours searching through all the super cool stuff. Nice has markets all over the place. Especially when the evening breaks in.
Back in Cannes we were so tired from walking all day in the sun that we went strait home to take a relaxing shower. Afterwords it was time for dinner at the Astoux Restaurant Fruit de Mer a Cannes.
After dinner we took a slow walk home to enjoy the sunset. It was breathtaking. Cannes really is beautiful.

16 August, 2015 to 22 August, 2015

I've been to France before with my Family but I've never been at the Cote d'Azure or anywhere at the south-coast. Of course I've heard a lot of Cannes, St. Tropez, Nice and Monaco so I was super excited.
Normally I would go inly a few days, as you know, but in August I wanted to have a real long holiday week with my mom and my sister.

DAY 1&2 - Cannes
To get a really good girls-holiday you need to go by car. Playing your own music, singing in the car and just spending time with your mom and you sister ist fantastic. We had almost eight hours with driving so as we arrived the sun was already down. We met Ben, the guy we rent the apartment from airbnb.
The flat was in a townhouse, little, painted in sorbet-colors and with a balconi with a beautiful sea view. Even if it was quite late we went down to the pier to get some food.
And this is how the first night ended. With a super delicious dinner at the Italian Caffé.

The fist real day startet quite late for us. We slept long and deep. The bed as super comfortable. My mom went breakfast-hunting and after the delicious meal we got ready for the day. My suter had some of the glitter-tattos with her so we had a bit of fun with it.

For the day we had planned to just walk around Cannes and heaving a good time.

After waking a while we passed a couple of restaurants. For dinner we chose the New York. The food was great and the service was great. With a full stomach we went on walking around.
The day was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed myself very much. Cannes is small but it has everything that it needs.  And the beach is breathtaking. And so ended the first day.
